"Maureen Kenney ’85 is an artist, who pays tribute to military heroes through her unique beaded tapestries. With over 30 creations in her collection titled "Thankful Generations," her exhibit is now gracing the halls of the Doss Heritage and Culture Center in Weatherford, Texas. When she’s not creating detailed, showcase pieces, Kenney is also the Associate Director of Neeley’s Professional Development Center and a Neeley management adjunct instructor.
Through her intricate tapestries, Kenney spotlights the stories of military veterans, notably featuring TCU alumnus and posthumous Medal of Honor recipient Major Horace Carswell Jr. '39, among others who served during World War II. Visit the exhibition to witness the power of art in preserving the legacies of our heroes."
